December 6, 2008 - Field Trip New Echota Candlelight Tour. Photograph the celebration of Christmas, New Echota-style with a candlelight tour, decorations, music, and refreshments reminiscent of the 19th Century Cherokee Nation Capital. Dress warmly and wear good walking shoes for this one-mile walking tour of the historic Cherokee town. There is a $5 admission fee. Meet at 6:00 p.m. at the Bi-Lo parking lot in East Ridge near I-75 to carpool or meet us at New Echota, located in Calhoun one mile east of I-75 exit #317 on GA Hwy. 225.
